Beautiful Knock Out Rose Garden Plants
Knock Out rose garden plants are marketed as “carefree” roses that give you “knock out” performance from spring through fall with none of the problems other rose varieties visit on gardener. Knock Out rose garden plants have several advantages over other types of roses. Bred to be disease-free, the plants are especially resistant to black spot, a fungal disease that commonly develops on roses during hot, humid weather. Knock Out rose garden plants are also repeat bloomers, producing subsequent waves of flowers every five or six weeks during the entire growing season. They are self-cleaning, with flowers that drop spontaneously when dry, making room for the next set of blooms. Finally, Knock Out roses are tough, cold-resistant plants that do well in U.S. Department of Agriculture hardiness zone 10.
Knock out rose garden plants are ideal additions to any landscape plan. When planted individually among shrubs or other plants, they provide bright spots of color and areas of interest. Alternatively, plant them in groups or rows to form a colorful hedge or a boundary between landscaped areas. They also do well planted as a bright border along a foundation or as a colorful screen surrounding a vegetable garden. To add even brighter garden accents, plant short annuals with blooms in a contrasting color such as purple or bright red along the edge of your Knock Out rose bed.
