Cleaning Ways For Your Kitchen Tiles
The kitchen is the one room in a house where one needs to be really comfortable. And kitchen tiles enhance the value of your kitchen and accentuate its beauty. However, without regular maintenance, dirt, grime and grease in the kitchen tiles can build up, taking the shine off an otherwise pristine kitchen. Cleaning the tiles with a quality product keeps them looking fresh. Here are several ways to cleaning your kitchen tiles. Vacuum the tiles to remove all dust and loose dirt. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and mix an oxygen-based powered floor cleaner with warm water in a bucket. Pour a portion of the solution onto the tiles. Work in a 4-by-4-foot section. Scrub the tiles with a circular motion using a soft-bristled scrub brush. Scrub the grout lines between the tiles with an old toothbrush. Allow the solution to sit. After 10 minutes rinse the tiles and grout lines thoroughly using a clean rag and clear water. Continue to the next 4-by-4-foot section and repeat the scrubbing and rinsing process until the entire floor has been cleaned.
Make a paste with the powdered cleaner in a small bowl. Apply the paste to stubborn grout stains. Gently scrub the lines with a toothbrush and then allow the paste to sit for a minimum of 15 minutes. The longer it sits, the better the results. Using clear water and a rag, rinse the grout lines with clear water to remove the paste. Allow the tiles and grout to thoroughly dry. This may take several hours depending on the air temperature and humidity level.
