Cleaning Your Leather Lounge Chairs
Leather lounge chairs are a long-lasting investment that can continue to provide you with stylish comfort. You can clean your leather lounge chairs and keep it conditioned so it is more resistant to dirt in the future. Here are the instructions to cleaning your leather lounge chairs. Mix one part white vinegar to two parts linseed oil. Food grade linseed oil is available at some grocery stores and specialty markets. There are also commercial linseed oil products available for cleaning leather. Dampen a lint-free cloth in the vinegar solution and apply it to the chair in a circular motion. The vinegar will cut through the grime, and the linseed oil will condition the leather so that it doesn’t crack and is more stain resistant. Leave the solution on the chair overnight so that it can dissolve the grime and work into the leather fibers.
Buff the excess vinegar solution from the chair with a clean, lint-free cloth. Make sure to remove all the excess solution so lint and dirt does not stick to it. Hairspray can remove stubborn stains. Spray it on the stain and wipe off, repeat several times until the stain is gone. One part rubbing alcohol to one part water rubbed onto mildew will remove it from the lounge chairs.
