Creating A Relaxing Spa Bathroom
A weekend away at the spa is a serene, relaxing, and invigorating experience. Everyone deserves a little pampering and an escape now and then. Thankfully, with a few simple touches you can easily recreate your bathroom into a spa bathroom. And here are several ways to create a spa bathroom for you. First of all, choose a good color for your spa bathroom. Color has an enormous impact on the way you perceive a space. Create a soothing and tranquil appearance in the bathroom by opting for soft colors like white, cream, yellow, light blue, gray, some shades of light or muted green and tan. Consider using a neutral background for the floor and walls of the bathroom in shades of taupe, tan, white or gray. To create a relaxing environment, you want a clutter-free spa-like space. Go through your bathroom; clean off the counters and shelves, and clean out the drawers to get rid of old makeup and items you no longer use.
For the lighting, add a dimmer switch to the bathroom’s main light or opt for a less bright bulb to reduce glare and create a relaxing effect. Add makeup lights around the mirror on a separate switch for getting ready in the morning. Once you’ve minimized the clutter in your bathroom, add a hook on the inside of the bathroom door for your thick, fluffy bathrobe. No spa bathroom is complete without thick pillar, glass or metal-contained candles; fragrant flowers or live plants; and all the organic goodies — bath oils, mineral salts and vegetable-based and fragrant French soaps.
