Decorate Your Kitchen With Turquoise Color
In the color world, turquoise color is a “wild card,” either fighting with other colors or getting along with them swimmingly. Decorating your kitchen with turquoise color has many benefits over other colors. Its distinctive display draws the eye, making it ideal for highlighting small areas. Like most vibrant colors, turquoise is commonly used to accent walls; however, kitchens that have a lot of cabinetry are an exception. If you have a lot of wall space, use it as an accent; if the space is small, feel free to cover all of the empty areas. One of the benefits of decorating a kitchen in turquoise is that it can be paired with almost any color, meaning you shouldn’t feel obliged to change everything. If you are replacing your tiles, don’t cover your entire kitchen with this strong color. Instead, randomly place turquoise tiles into the mix to accent certain areas. Hang up artwork that includes turquoise and other colors on the room. Make sure the shades are significantly different if the piece is being placed on a turquoise wall.
If you have turquoise walls and you also want turquoise cabinets, use a different shade for them so they will stand out. If you have kitchen cabinets with glass doors, paint the inside of the cabinet a contrasting turquoise color to the surrounding wall. If you’re looking for ways to redecorate your kitchen without making significant changes, use turquoise accents on your cabinetry by painting drawer handles and shelving. In many cases, subtle amounts of turquoise are all that’s required.
