Instructions To Fix Cracked Kitchen Tiles
Many people have cracked kitchen tiles in their houses, and usually the main cause is you getting hairline cracks in the slab as the house settles. Hence, depending on how big is the crack, there are some different techniques which you can use in order to repair your cracked kitchen tiles. Here are instructions to fix cracked kitchen tiles. Clean the tile. Remove any chipped bits or powder and wash away any dust. Use a household cleaner to remove grease from the tile. Though a tile may look clean, oils from cooking foods tend to collect in kitchens, and a tile must be as clean as possible for best results. Paint the cracked part of the tile with acrylic paint. Paints designed for ceramic are best. Mix the paint to match the color of the tile. There is no simple way to do this, and a little trial and error may be necessary. Wait for the paint to dry completely before continuing.
Mix some two-part epoxy on the cardboard using the craft stick. Mix the two parts together evenly and try to not add bubbles. Smear the epoxy into the crack with the craft stick. Gently wipe away excess with a clean rag. Do not use water to wipe up epoxy, as it interferes with curing.
