Toddler Bedroom Furniture Arrangement
When rearranging your toddler bedroom, there are ways to arrange the furniture to improve the safety of his/her room. Here are several ways to arrange your toddler bedroom. Before you begin arranging your toddler’s room, you must decide how the space will be used. Of course, it is the room where he sleeps, but if your home doesn’t have a dedicated play room, you may need to create a play area in the space as well. Once you’ve decided what your toddler’s room will be used for, divide the space into zones. Start with the sleeping zone since it’s the most important space in any bedroom, keep this area simple so it’s relaxing and encourages your child to sleep. At a young age, a child doesn’t really need a bedside table so a toddler bed really all you need. You don’t want your toddler to be overstimulated when it’s time for bed either, so it’s a good idea to place the toy zone in a spot that’s not entirely visible from the bed.
When arranging your toddler bedroom furniture, try to keep the main pieces against the walls. In a small bedroom, this layout opens up space in the center of the room where you child can play. In a larger bedroom, you might want to place a table and chairs set near the center, but all larger pieces like the dresser and bookcase should be against walls. Not only does it give the space a wide open feel, it’s safer because you can bolt the items to studs in the wall so you don’t have to worry about them falling over if your toddler tries to climb them.
