Ways To Hang A Hammock In Your Bedroom
Hammocks provide comfortable, space efficient sleeping arrangements on a either permanent basis or in a bedroom when extra beds are needed. If you want to hang a hammock in your bedroom, make sure there is plenty of space. Here are instructions to hang a hammock in your bedroom. Find two points in the bedroom approximately 12 feet apart, which will allow the hammock to have the proper dip. Each end of the hammock must be on a different wall, such as straddling a corner, or opposite walls. Place a stepladder in the first location and turn on a stud finder. Place the stud finder on the wall 4 feet from the floor and move it from side to side until it lights up, indicating a wall stud location. Mark the area with a pencil. Move the stepladder to the other wall and repeat the process to find a wall stud in that location as well. Insert a 1/4- or 1/2-inch drill bit into a power drill and create a 1-inch deep hole in each of the pencil marks.
Insert the threaded end of an eye bolt into each hole and turn it until it is completely secure. You can start turning the bolts by hand and use a pair of pliers to twist them in if they are difficult to turn. Insert a metal S hook into the loop in one end of the bedroom hammock. Lift the hammock up to one of the eye bolts and insert the other end of the S hook into the loop on the bolt. Repeat the process on the opposite end of the hammock to hang it as well.
