Like most succulents, aloes thrive on minimal care and requires little moisture to survive. These houseplants needs to be watered sparingly over spring and summer, and maybe once during the winter. It’s one to grow in the kitchen, because the slimy insides of the leaves are excellent on burns.
To care Aloe Vera houseplants, water the aloe plant only when the soil has dried out completely. Pour water onto the soil near the base of the plant until it drains from the bottom. Allow the pot to fully drain for about 30 minutes, and then promptly empty the drained water from the pot’s drip tray. Fertilize the aloe in midspring with a water-soluble liquid fertilizer formulated for blooming plants, such as a 10-40-10 blend.
